Who we work with

Hyett Education works with organisations of all sizes to deliver STEM outreach that creates real value for students aged 4–18. Whether you’re planning a one-off workshop or a longer-term programme, we tailor activities to meet your goals.

We ensure every session delivers measurable social impact for corporate STEM outreach programmes, while supporting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.

We are able to partner with and develop bespoke STEM outreach programmes for the following industries:

  • Defence & Aerospace

  • Engineering & Manufacturing

  • Energy & Nuclear

  • Construction & Agriculture

  • Digital & Emerging Tech

  • Charities & Museums

  • Professional Sports Clubs

Hyett Education supported West Bromwich Albion’s ‘The Albion Foundation’ by delivering short STEM activities in between matches for a girl’s football tournament.

We designed bespoke football-themed challenge mats for a ‘kicking robot’. Students had to programme their robots to dribble, keeping close control of the ball, before shooting for goal from assigned zones.

Challenges organisations face when delivering STEM outreach

Delivering STEM programmes that genuinely engage students can be difficult. Some initiatives struggle to create measurable impact or align with school priorities. CSR and ESG teams want activities that deliver real value, whether that’s through sustained programmes or targeted one-off workshop engagements.

Even with the best intentions, planning and executing STEM outreach can present practical challenges. Here are the most common hurdles organisations encounter when trying to make an impact:

  • Ensuring STEM activities connect with the curriculum and student needs

  • Measuring the social value and impact of outreach initiatives

  • Balancing short-term, high-visibility workshops with longer-term skills development

  • Managing logistics across schools, regions, or age groups

Defence Nuclear Enterprise: EKO STEM Outreach

Due to our consistent excellent performance with the RAF we were recommended to Defence Nuclear Enterprise (Ministry of Defence) to develop and deliver a pilot STEM outreach programme for DNE’s Inspire & Attract Team in 2023.

The pilot was successful and paved the way for the Inspire & Attract Team to expand the programme to Scotland, Midlands, South East and South West. Since the pilot Hyett Education has successfully delivered STEM outreach contracts to 60 schools in the North of England, 100 schools across the Midlands and 120 schools across the South West, as well as 4 weeks of summer clubs in Barrow & Plymouth.

All contracts have been completed months ahead of schedule with outstanding feedback from schools and the sponsors alike.

Our work for DNE’s Inspire & Attract Team includes:

  • Designing and delivering bespoke nuclear-themed challenges for robotics, drone coding, AI & Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and 3D Design & Printing.

  • Coordinating events with schools across the UK, from initial outreach and assessment of applications, through to event planning with schools, delivery in front of students, gathering feedback from students and teachers and providing comprehensive reporting with statistics for each quarter.

  • We also represent the DNE at trade show events by managing event stands and delivering short-form activities to engage KS4-5 and graduate students. These events are intended to make young people aware of the apprenticeship and graduate opportunities across the DNE’s partners (AWE, Babcock, BAE Systems, Sheffield Forgemasters, Royal Navy, Strategic Command, Submarine Delivery Agency, DE&S, and Rolls Royce).

  • Coordinate and deliver STEM holiday camps, with work including sourcing venues, working with schools to engage young people from underserved communities and from disadvantaged backgrounds, liaising and communicating with parents, designing and developing fun STEM content that keeps children coming back each day, and providing meals to ensure no child goes hungry.
