Workshop Reviews & Testimonials

''I just wanted to say a huge thank you from all the staff and pupils who took part yesterday. I've never seen them so engaged and the opportunity has already had a huge impact on our pupils. I would love to rebook in the future, and also share details with the rest of the Vantage Academy Trust. If the opportunity for fully funded workshops comes up again, please do get in contact as we'd love to take up the opportunity with a new cohort. Thank you so much again.''

“Students loved the workshop. A few year 9 students now really want to do triple science as a result. Students enhanced their communication skills and team building and problem solving skills. It also made students more aware of other careers around STEM and not just medicine”

“It was the best STEM workshop we have had in the last 19 years!

We all felt Jack's knowledge was superb and the way he taught the children was brilliant; they all learned a great deal during the day.

Jack was fantastic with the children, they were thoroughly engaged and on task for the whole session and loved every minute of it. The pace of the session was perfect, the children learned lots and were challenged well - an amazing day had by all.”

Handwritten letter with doodles, including planets, spaceships, and robots, thanking Mr. Hyett for hosting a robotic engineering event, with a drawing of a robot with a tail, antenna, wheel, and labels.

“Dear Mr Hyett,

Thank you for bringing us this amazing opportunity. I really enjoyed your workshop and loved working with my team to make a Lego robot.

Your workshop was very fun and I think that everyone found it very interesting.

All of the separate jobs/missions/tasks were very fun, however I think my favourite part of the workshop had to be modifying our robots to pick up the ‘nuclear waste’ with a magnet!

Thank you for allowing us to experience this amazing workshop and opening our minds to STEM.”

“One of the best workshops I have been a part of as a teacher.

Hyett Education tailored every aspect of the workshop to meet our needs and aims as a year group.

Richard was absolutely fantastic also, he developed a great rapport with the children and made them so excited to learn.

He was attentive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. As a company, they were organised and trustworthy and we can’t wait to work with them again. I couldn’t recommend Hyett Education enough, thank you so much!”

''This was a truly invaluable experience for our pupils, most of whom are from the most deprived areas in our city.

Jack and Annie were absolutely brilliant with our pupils.

We feel so fortunate to have had this input; we are confident that this will have inspired some of them to consider pursuing a STEM (or STEAM!) related pathway. Thank you so much.''

“I have taught these children all year.

They have had many experiences, including trampolining, skate-boarding and scooters, but I have never seen [child’s name] so animated and involved. Thank you so much!

Keep up the good work!”

“This has been fantastic, we've seen them work in totally different ways and it's just what they need. I've loved being in here".

Fantastic workshop all round - excellent communications in advance, planned and delivery in a very engaging way and relevant, interesting content.

The students have loved the day and, from my point of view, it has been amongst the most successful external workshops we've run at the Academy.

Thank you to Adam for excellent delivery and everyone involved in the planning.”

“Hi Antony and Pete ,

Thank you so much for visiting us last week .. the workshops have been absolutely fantastic!

Our pupils were completely engaged from start to finish, and it was such a joy to see them exploring their creativity through technology.

The 3D Design Workshop was pitched perfectly for their age group – clear, accessible, and yet challenging enough to keep everyone motivated.

The balance between learning new skills and having the freedom to experiment worked really well. The way your team encouraged the girls and celebrated their efforts made the whole experience so positive and inspiring. Many commented afterwards on how exciting it was to see their ideas come to life on screen, and it has definitely sparked curiosity for our future projects.

Hot on the heels of that, the Drone Coding Workshop with Years 7, 8, and 9 last Friday was another huge success. The girls were fascinated by the mix of coding and real-world application, and the thrill of seeing drones respond to their commands was just priceless. It was a brilliant combination of fun, teamwork, and problem-solving – they are still talking about it days later.

“Our Year 3s and 4s LOVED the STEMbotics workshop last week. Richard was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. We particularly liked how he managed the class and had them hanging off every word.

The workshop itself reinforced a lot of what we had done in Computing lessons so it was great to see the children applying this to their fairground rides.

We will definitely be inviting Hyett back next year!”
