Founded in 2017 by former primary teacher Antony Hyett. On a mission to bring premium STEM experiences to every school in the UK.
Our Story
Hyett Education was founded in 2017 by Antony Hyett, a former primary school teacher who saw first-hand the gap between what schools needed and what was available in STEM education. Too many workshops were delivered by people who had never taught in a classroom, with equipment that arrived broken and activities that had no curriculum link.
Antony set out to build a STEM education company centred on practical learning. Phillipa Hyett, a senior leader and deputy headteacher, supported the foundation of the company, drawing on her school leadership experience. Today, each workshop page identifies the curriculum connections applicable to its product, cohort, format and school jurisdiction. Every instructor holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is registered on the DBS Update Service, and the specialist equipment is maintained for delivery.
From a single robotics workshop in a Wolverhampton primary school, Hyett Education has grown to 2,738 workshop records and 3,100+ combined STEM experiences through May 2026. We are an RAF STEM Education Partner, named on the RAF STEM Services Framework which runs from 31 March 2023 to 31 March 2028, and a Defence Nuclear STEM Education Partner, awarded Defence Nuclear Enterprise regional delivery lots 1 and 2 in September 2023. Our team of specialist instructors bring robotics, drones, AI, 3D printing, cybersecurity, and stop-motion animation to schools, corporate partners, and defence organisations nationwide.
