STEM Workshops for Key Stage 2
Hyett Education provides hands-on STEM workshops for Key Stage 2 pupils aged 7 to 11. The KS2 range includes robotics, drone technology, cybersecurity, 3D design, AI and more. Each workshop page identifies the curriculum connections that apply to that product, cohort, delivery format and school jurisdiction. Every Hyett Education instructor holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is registered on the DBS Update Service.

Beginner STEMbotics: Robotics & Coding
Robotics and coding for KS1 and KS2 using the LEGO Spike Essentials or LEGO WeDo 2.0 kit specified for the booked format. Children code with icon blocks or word blocks, and reading is not required for the introductory icon-based tasks.

Intermediate STEMbotics: Robotics & Coding
Intermediate robotics workshop for KS2 to KS3. Block-based programming with LEGO Spike Prime and EV3, advanced robot builds, sensors, and challenge mats.

Drone Coding Workshop
Code flight paths and explore aerospace engineering through hands-on drone programming. Up to 30 students per session learn block-based coding while flying real drones in a controlled, safety-led environment.

AI & Machine Learning Workshop
Bring real artificial intelligence into your classroom. Years 4 to 11 (ages 8 to 16) train image-recognition models, control LEGO robots and discuss AI ethics. The specialist equipment specified for the booked format is provided; the school supplies the agreed space, furniture and power. Every Hyett Education instructor holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is registered on the DBS Update Service. The selected four-session Taster format can reach up to 128 pupils; other formats have lower capacities. Curriculum and careers links depend on the school’s jurisdiction and delivery format.
