For Defence Partners
Defence Partnership Questions
The RAF STEM programme funds workshops for schools across the UK, with a particular focus on areas where STEM opportunities might not otherwise exist. Schools can access workshops at no cost, funded through the RAF STEM Education budget. Hyett Education manages the entire delivery process, from identifying and engaging eligible schools through to workshop delivery and impact reporting.
Yes. We actively encourage RAF STEM Ambassadors to attend workshops where available. This provides students with direct contact with serving personnel and helps bring real-world STEM applications to life. We provide briefing materials and manage all logistics so your STEM Ambassadors can focus on engaging with students.
Schools are selected based on criteria agreed with the funding partner. For RAF programmes, this typically includes areas where STEM access is limited and social deprivation indices. For DNE EKO programmes, schools are selected regionally based on proximity to nuclear sites. We manage the full school engagement and outreach process on behalf of the funding organisation.
All Hyett Education instructors hold enhanced DBS checks and carry valid DBS certificates to every booking. We carry full public liability insurance and provide comprehensive risk assessments for all activities and equipment. For delivery on MOD sites, we comply with site-specific access and security requirements as directed by the host station or establishment.
We provide detailed impact reports covering student reach, geographic coverage, demographic data, learning outcomes, and programme KPIs. Reports can be aligned to your specific outreach frameworks and reporting requirements. We also collect qualitative feedback from teachers and can support your internal communications with case study content and photography where school consent allows.
Contact us to discuss partnership opportunities. We work with RAF stations, MoD organisations, and defence contractors to design and deliver STEM outreach programmes. We can scope a programme from a single workshop pilot through to a national multi-year partnership with full strategic planning and impact reporting.
Yes. All defence partnership programmes include branded materials, certificates, and signage featuring your organisation alongside Hyett Education. For example, our RAF programmes use the branded themes Mighty Minds and Code Commanders, and our DNE programmes operate under the EKO brand. We design bespoke branding for each partnership.
Programmes can range from a single workshop pilot to a national delivery of 300+ workshops per year. Our RAF programme currently delivers 75+ funded workshops annually across the UK, and our DNE EKO programme has reached 280+ schools across the Midlands, South West and previously the North of England. A new partnership typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from initial discussion to first workshop delivery.
