Yes. In line with our safeguarding policy, a member of school staff must remain present during all workshop sessions. This is a non-negotiable requirement.

Yes, where the selected workshop offers a suitable multi-session format. The quote and agreed timetable confirm the participating year groups, number of sessions, per-session capacity and age-appropriate adaptations.

Most workshops can run in a standard classroom. Drone workshops need a larger space such as a school hall. We will advise on space requirements when you book.

Availability varies by date, location and workshop. Enquire early with your preferred dates and we will confirm what is currently available. Short-notice enquiries are welcome, but no date is guaranteed until the booking is confirmed.

Photography or video is only taken where it is agreed in the booking. The school must confirm the lawful basis and any consent or notice requirements for the intended participants and use. The booking documentation states what, if anything, Hyett Education will capture and how files will be shared.

A multi-day STEM enrichment programme may be available, subject to dates, instructor capacity and the selected workshops. The quote confirms the agreed themes, year groups, formats, dates and responsibilities.

It may include LEGO Spike Prime or Spike Essential robots, LEGO WeDo 2.0, programmable drones with safety eyewear, 3D printers and CAD software, configured devices for coding, electronics kits, or tablets for stop-motion animation. We bring the specialist equipment. Schools provide a suitable indoor space, tables, chairs and power; the CAD workshop also needs reliable internet access. Possibly, when a current funded round is open and your school is allocated a place. Hyett Education delivered 161 fully funded workshops in the last complete academic year, 2024/25, with a further 186 recorded in 2025/26 through May 2026. Those historical records include RAF- and EKO-coded delivery. Current availability and eligibility must be confirmed for each round; an allocated funded place is delivered at no cost to the school.

Hyett Education is an RAF STEM Education Partner, named on the RAF STEM Services Framework for 31 March 2023 to 31 March 2028. A place is available only when a funded delivery round has an allocation and the school meets that round’s criteria; an allocated place is delivered at no cost to the school. The commission or quote sets the agreed scope and the responsibilities of the funder, Hyett Education and the school, including school engagement, delivery and any reporting.

RAF personnel or STEM Ambassadors may attend when this is arranged by the funder or host and they are available, but attendance is not included or guaranteed. The agreed programme sets responsibilities for invitations, briefing, travel and site access, safeguarding and communications, subject to school and site approval.

Criteria are agreed for each funding round and may include location, access to STEM opportunities and deprivation measures. The DNE EKO figures on this site describe historical delivery; current EKO availability and criteria must be confirmed for any new round. Where Hyett Education is commissioned to deliver a funded round, we manage the agreed school engagement and outreach process.

Every Hyett Education instructor holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is registered on the DBS Update Service. We can provide DBS certificate details to schools on request before a booking. We carry £10m public liability insurance and provide activity risk assessments. For delivery on MOD sites, we comply with site-specific access and security requirements as directed by the host station or establishment.

Reporting is limited to the fields and measures set out in the agreed programme or commission. It may include verified student reach, delivery locations and agreed KPIs. Demographic data, outcome measures, teacher feedback, case-study content or photography are included only where there is a lawful basis, appropriate notices and any required consent or permission, and where collection and reporting responsibilities have been agreed between the funder, schools and Hyett Education.

Contact us to discuss partnership opportunities. We work with RAF stations, MoD organisations and defence contractors to design and deliver STEM outreach programmes. A programme can be scoped from a single-workshop pilot to multi-region delivery, subject to current capacity. Planning, responsibilities and any reporting are defined in the agreed programme or quote.

Branding, if included, is set out in the agreed programme or quote and requires the relevant organisation’s current written permission. Historical RAF-coded deliveries have used the Mighty Minds and Code Commanders themes, while EKO-coded deliveries have used EKO materials where authorised.

Programmes can range from a single pilot to multi-region delivery. Verified records to May 2026 contain 406 RAF-coded and 306 EKO-coded deliveries; one jointly coded delivery is counted once in the 711 unique funded total. The last complete academic year, 2024/25, included 161 funded deliveries. Programme timing and future volume are agreed for each partnership.
