All of the groups from Y3-Y8 were enthralled by the STEMbotics workshops. The activities were ideally matched to each age and ability group and even those that can struggle with focus at times in the classroom were both interested and engaged in the tasks set.
Excellent prep for each class and more than enough resources for our three large classes taking part in the stembotics workshop. The children of all ages and abilities all absolutely loved the workshop and wanted to learn more, many asking if they could take the resource home!! Antony was a great leader, using known strategies to gain children's attention and ensure listening. He was also able to target some higher achievers and give them a challenge alongside the others. This is also tied nicely into coding which will later become part of our DT curriculum, so was really useful to watch and be a part of. It was excellent value for money - only costing £6 per student and we will definitely book another workshop in the future, probably for our upper KS2. Thanks you!
Fantastic day! Both student and staff feedback was really positive. Students were really engaged (even some of our very hardest to reach) and got a lot out of it. Fitted perfectly with our Y8 computing curriculum. It was very professionally run and organised. We felt it was pitched perfectly for students to allow challenge. We will definitely be aiming to book this event again.
Our Y9 students spent 2 hours learning how to code drones using SWIFT coding. By the end of the session students were able to fly drones up, down, right, left, follow flight paths and some were even successful in getting the drones through hoops. Some groups worked together to create a procession. Students enjoyed the session immensely and could be heard discussing it later in the day. I would highly recommend drone coding with Hyett Education to give students wider opportunities of STEM. We have already booked in for next year.
A fantastic workshop on robotics for our year 6 pupils. Every student was engaged and excited! They got to build their own robot and then programmed it to follow a course. It was really hands-on and interactive. Antony, the instructor, was engaging and flexible. Genuinely one of the best workshops I've experienced! Thank you very much.
The workshop was very engaging and pitched very well for my Year 4 class. The children were able to decipher codes and solve the challenge. They were so excited when they unlocked the safe! Instructors were very calm, explained clearly and had great behaviour management skills. I would highly recommend this workshop.
The students got so much out of the sessions, we have already done our coding unit of work but the workshop brought their learning to life in a more exciting way allowing them to make their robots move around. I think you are doing a fantastic job offering STEM activities that are practical and hands-on, the children got so much out of the day and we would love to have you visit again! Thank you.
A cracking set of workshops on robotics. They gave our children access to experiences that are very difficult to provide otherwise. The session leader was knowledgeable and engaging. Fantastic!

One of the best workshops I've been a part of as a teacher. Hyett Education tailored all aspects of the workshop to our needs and aims as a year group. Richard was absolutely fantastic also. He developed a great rapport with the children and made them so excited to learn! He was attentive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not enough positive words to describe how impressed we were with Hyett Education. Antony Hyett made the booking process seamless and transparent. He arrived early and set himself up within our space. We had decided on the STEMbotics workshop for Years 5 to 7 and the response from the pupils and staff alike were all consistent in their positivity. Antony's time-management skills were what made the day feel like such a breeze. He stayed on time within each session and was very clear with the instructions he gave the children. I witnessed some of my own pupils come to life in this workshop, leading their small group as they built a unique robot and coded its progress through map of our Solar System. Nothing but praise and I would highly recommend Hyett Education to anyone looking for a simple and straightforward workshop on anything technology.
Wow, what an amazing experience we had with Antony! Communicating and organising the day with Antony was easy and hassle free. Communication was clear and the expectations of the day was set to a high standard. Antony arrived early on the day to set up and was flexible with meeting the needs of the space in our school and the children's needs. Antony started our morning off with a circuits workshop, which really supported our topic of Inventors and then finished the day off with teaching the children about coding and robots. It's really heightened the children's experience of the topic and they have not stopped talking about it since!
What an amazing Computer Science Week we have had here at Plumcroft Primary School this year, thanks to Hyett Education. As Computing Lead at the school, I got a chance to talk to pupils and teachers after the computing workshops. The feedback from the pupils and the teachers has been overwhelmingly positive due to Jack's positive, engaging and enthusiastic teaching / delivery style. The pupils have learned to build, code and program drones, rovers and other machines. Some words the pupils have used to describe their experience on their post workshop feedback sheet - amazing, exciting, fun, cool, amazing, entertaining and educational. The staff and I echo the pupils' sentiments and want to pass on our Kudos to Jack and Hyett Education for a well-delivered week of hands-on, practical physical computing workshops.
I really enjoyed Hyett Education delivering the drones workshop for our programme with Edu-Cater Global! The trainer Jack was really enthusiastic and the students loved him! I have requested him to come back to support next session. Antony was great at organising this with me too.
I am a primary school teacher and this is the second time my school has booked in Hyett Education. Last year, we arranged to take part in the Lego Coding workshops which were such a huge success that there was no doubt I wanted Antony to return to our school. This year, we arranged to have a writing through Minecraft workshop and a STEM Carousal. Both sessions were absolutely adored by ALL our pupils. We have obtained lots of writing opportunities through the Minecraft sessions which were incredibly fun and engaging for the children. The STEM carousal was adapted for our KS1 pupils and gave them an opportunity to carry out a range of different activities across the day. Throughout the process, Antony has been incredibly easy to communicate with and has been very adaptable at short notice. He has an excellent presence within the classroom and clearly pitches his sessions to the different age groups well. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anybody and would gladly book him in for future sessions.
Our Year 4 pupils experienced a fabulous day with Antony as part of their Design Technology Project! They used Lego WeDo 2 kits to build and program robots incorporating levers and pulleys. Because the session was well resourced, all children were able to focus on building their own model with a partner. It was engaging, exciting and Antony was a fabulous teacher! Thanks for a fabulous day!
We welcomed Hyett Education at our school in Longsight, Manchester. Great workshop. Length of workshop can be adapted to suit the needs of the class and the requirements of the teacher. All teaching is according to the national curriculum PoS for computing. Very hands on, children get a first hand experience of programming, how algorithms work and how computing can be used to control and manipulate the working of devices. Definitely recommend, in fact we were so impressed that our school has booked in for a whole unit to be taught through an expert who used to be a teacher, so that helps in terms of class management etc. Very pleased.

The workshop was great and the children loved it. I cannot praise Jack highly enough, we have lots of external providers come in and his manner and delivery really stand out. Staff were very impressed! The children loved the opportunity to be creative.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about the coding and there was a real wow moment when their fairground rides began to work! Richard, as always, delivered the workshop brilliantly, capturing all the children's attention and enabling them all to achieve success.
The workshops have been absolutely fantastic! Our pupils were completely engaged from start to finish. The 3D Design Workshop was pitched perfectly for their age group, clear, accessible, and yet challenging enough to keep everyone motivated.
We had a super day! Every single pupil spoke incredibly highly of the experience. The teachers were really impressed too and it was so nice to be able to offer opportunities with such equipment that we wouldn't usually be able to do in school. Jack was great with the children.
Jack has been leading workshops at Wren for several years, and the children are always excited to hear that "Jack is back!" His sessions are engaging and hands-on, and children from Reception to Year 6 consistently make excellent progress. We will definitely continue to book workshops for our STEM week.
The children had a fantastic time at your workshop. Peter was amazing. He was engaging, whilst still keeping their behaviour at a good level. Teachers said he had pitched it perfectly and he was super organised throughout the day. The children have all commented on how much they loved it and hope they will be seeing him again next year.

The drone-coding workshops were a huge success. The students really enjoyed them. The explanations and opportunities for the students to get involved are great and the balance is perfect. I liked the real-world applications which the students could relate to.

The Cryptography workshop was outstanding. It engaged all pupils, even one of our most challenging pupils, who doesn't usually last 20 minutes without a break, completed the whole session. Amazing session by an excellent teacher!
UTC Plymouth has enjoyed the workshop 3 years running and we always appreciate being given the opportunity to have the workshops fully funded. We think it is amazing what you do and we hope to be considered again next year!
Session was well delivered, well paced and enjoyable for all the ages involved, with plenty of discussion afterwards about the issues of AI. The resources were fantastic and although complicated, were explained clearly and inclusive for all abilities.
I was so impressed with the session. Children were hugely engaged and this was far beyond anything I could offer them. The children loved it. They were buzzing about it for days and we received lots of messages from parents about how much the children loved it.
