Funded STEM Workshops for Schools
Eligible UK schools may be offered STEM workshops at no cost through specific funding rounds. Hyett Education is on the RAF STEM Services Framework until 31 March 2028 and has previously delivered through the DNE EKO Programme. Current availability and eligibility must be confirmed for each round.
Funded Workshop Routes
When a funded round is open and a school is allocated a place, the workshop is delivered at no cost to that school. Funded workshops use the same equipment and curriculum mapping as our standard offer. The assigned instructor’s vetting status is confirmed in booking documentation, with evidence available through the school’s verification process.

How Workshops Are Funded
The RAF route is bounded by the current framework period below. DNE EKO information describes verified historical delivery, not a claim of a current award.
RAF Youth & STEM
Hyett Education is a supplier on the Ministry of Defence RAF STEM Services Framework for the period 31 March 2023 to 31 March 2028.
Hyett Education delivery records for RAF Youth & STEM date from 2019. Hyett Education is one of 19 suppliers named on the RAF STEM Services Framework for the period 31 March 2023 to 31 March 2028. Internal delivery records include 406 RAF-coded funded workshop experiences through May 2026. Availability and allocation must be confirmed for each delivery period.
Being named on the framework does not itself give a school an entitlement to a funded workshop. Where a current RAF round is confirmed, the school meets that round’s criteria and a place is allocated, the workshop is delivered at no cost to that school.
Eligibility: age range, year groups, location and all other criteria must be checked against the confirmed terms of the specific open funding round. Previous RAF criteria must not be treated as an evergreen entitlement.
DNE: EKO Programme
A September 2023 award notice records Hyett Education on Defence Nuclear Enterprise regional delivery lots 1 and 2. The public notice does not establish that the award remains current. Hyett Education's delivery under that award is historical.
A Find a Tender award notice dated 7 September 2023 records Hyett Education on Defence Nuclear Enterprise regional delivery lots 1 and 2 for the EKO Programme. The public notice does not state a current expiry date.
Internal delivery records include 306 EKO-coded funded workshop experiences through May 2026. One workshop appears in both the RAF and EKO categories, so the two component counts are not directly additive: they represent 711 unique funded workshop experiences. This is a historical delivery record, not a claim that the 2023 award remains active. Current EKO availability and any allocation must be confirmed before a school applies or books.
Eligibility: criteria for any current or future EKO-funded round, including eligible year groups and locations, must be confirmed for that round.
How to Apply
The Application Process
Register interest or contact us first. We confirm whether a relevant round is open, which criteria apply and what application or booking steps that round uses.
Step 1: Schools can register interest using the form below. We confirm whether a relevant funding round is currently open before treating the submission as an application.
Step 2: Schools are assessed against the criteria confirmed for the relevant funding round. Criteria and demand can vary, so registering interest or applying does not guarantee a place.
Step 3: If a school is allocated a place, it receives the booking instructions and available date and workshop options for that round.
