What Is a STEM Workshop?

A STEM workshop is a hands-on session delivered in your school by a specialist instructor. Depending on the selected product, pupils may work with robots, drones, 3D printers, circuits or coding platforms. Relevant curriculum links, session length and capacity depend on the workshop, cohort, jurisdiction and format. Selected four-session robotics taster days can reach up to 128 pupils in KS1 or 240 pupils in KS2. Other workshops and formats have lower capacities, which are shown on each workshop page. Hyett Education has delivered 3,100+ hands-on STEM experiences to 1,190 schools since 2018.

Curriculum Links

Each workshop page identifies relevant subject links. Applicability depends on the product, year group, delivery jurisdiction and booked format. Schools should agree any qualification-specification link for their cohort before booking; no pupil workshop teaches or assesses a complete programme of study or qualification.

Do We Bring Equipment?

Yes. Hyett Education supplies the specialist equipment specified for the booked format. Depending on the product, that can include LEGO robotics kits, programmable drones and safety eyewear, 3D-printing equipment, laptops, circuit components or tablets. Schools provide the agreed indoor space, tables, chairs and power access. The CAD workshop also needs reliable internet access; we confirm the exact setup before the visit.

How Many Students Can Attend?

Selected four-session robotics taster days can reach up to 128 pupils in KS1 or 240 pupils in KS2. Other workshops and formats have lower capacities, which are shown on each workshop page. Per-session and daily capacities vary by product, format and key stage, so the timetable is agreed against the figures shown on the selected workshop page.
