What our robotics workshops cover
Our robotics range spans play-based building in the early years through to text-based Python in sixth form. Each workshop is hands-on and run by a specialist instructor. Schools can book a single workshop or ask which combinations are suitable for a day or multi-day programme.
- Beginner STEMbotics (ages 5 to 11): Introductory robotics and block-based coding with LEGO Spike Essential and WeDo 2.0. No reading requirement at Key Stage 1. Learn more
- Intermediate STEMbotics (ages 7 to 14): Block-based programming with LEGO Spike Prime, using sensors, motors, gyroscopes and challenge mats. Introduces foundational GCSE Computer Science concepts. Learn more
- Advanced STEMbotics: Python Robotics (ages 11 to 18): Text-based Python programming with LEGO Spike Prime, covering sensors, path-following, automation and line-tracking robots. Supports GCSE and A-Level Computer Science. Learn more
- AI Robotics: Machine Learning (ages 8 to 16): Pupils train image-recognition models that control LEGO robots, exploring supervised learning, training data, bias and AI ethics at an age-appropriate level. Learn more
- STEMdrones: Drone Coding (ages 9 to 18): Programmable drone challenges and aerospace engineering with education-grade drones. Pupils code flight patterns, formation flying and obstacle navigation. Learn more

Curriculum connections by workshop
Each robotics workshop page identifies selected curriculum connections relevant to its product, intended cohort, delivery format and school jurisdiction. Depending on the workshop, activities may include algorithms, sequencing, selection, repetition or text-based programming. Schools should agree any qualification-specific link for their cohort before booking.
Robotics activities can prompt discussion of engineering and technology careers. Workshop records may form part of a school’s wider careers evidence, but a workshop does not by itself demonstrate that a Gatsby Benchmark has been met.
Why schools choose Hyett for robotics
We bring the specialist equipment and consumables specified for the booked workshop format. The school provides the agreed indoor space, tables, chairs and power, and we confirm the exact setup before the booking. The assigned instructor’s vetting status is confirmed in the booking documentation, with evidence available through the school’s verification process. In-school delivery avoids off-site transport and its travel risk assessment. Hyett Education supplies the activity risk assessment, while the school retains its normal on-site duties and decides how its usual consent and family-information procedures apply.
Our internally verified delivery ledger contains 1,190 unique schools through May 2026; Antony Hyett confirmed that the current total had passed 1,200 on 16 June 2026. Current reviews and ratings are available on Trustpilot. Robotics is one of our core workshop themes.
How to book a robotics workshop
Booking a robotics day is straightforward. Many schools book one to launch a STEM club, mark British Science Week, run an off-timetable enrichment day, or give a whole year group a shared, inspiring experience.
- Get in touch: Contact us with your school, the year groups involved and what you are looking for. There is no obligation at this stage.
- Choose your workshops: We will recommend the right robotics workshops for your year groups and goals, and can run several across a day so pupils experience a progression.
- Get a tailored quote: Pricing starts from £597 per day as a floor, excluding VAT. The price depends on the workshop and the geographic price band selected from the school postcode in the live quote engine. Use the tool for the exact figure and quoted format.
- Prepare for the day: Once confirmed, we send a preparation guide covering room setup and timetabling, and we bring the specialist workshop equipment.
Not sure which robotics workshops suit your pupils best? We are happy to recommend options based on your year groups and what you want the day to achieve. Browse our full workshop range or get in touch to start planning your robotics day.
