Creative Digital Sessions

Art meets technology. Your child creates digital artwork, composes music, and produces their own stop-motion animated films.

Tech Tigers creative digital sessions cover two core activities: Digital Art and Music, and Stop-Motion Animation. Children use creative software, graphics tablets, and professional stop-motion equipment to produce original work. These sessions are popular with children who enjoy art and creativity but may not see themselves as "techy". They discover that STEM and creativity go hand in hand.

What Your Child Will Do

Creative Digital Activities

Digital Art and Music

Children create original digital artwork using graphics tablets and creative software, and compose music using digital audio tools. They learn about digital media production, colour theory in digital formats, and how technology is used in creative industries. It is art class with professional tools.

Stop-Motion Animation

Children plan, build sets, and film their own stop-motion animated short films using professional equipment. They learn about storyboarding, frame rates, lighting, and editing. The finished films are something they can be genuinely proud of. Stop-motion combines art, engineering (building the sets), and technology (filming and editing) in a single activity.

Age Suitability

Both activities work well across the full 5 to 12 age range. Younger children create simpler artwork and shorter animations. Older children tackle more ambitious projects with greater independence. The creative nature of these sessions means every child can work at their own level.

Equipment

Sessions use graphics tablets, laptops with creative software, digital audio tools, stop-motion animation rigs with cameras and lighting, and modelling materials for set building. All equipment is provided and maintained.

Common Questions

Creative Digital FAQs

Is digital art really STEM?+

Yes. Digital media production is a growing STEM industry. Children learn about software tools, digital formats, colour science, and the technology behind creative output. The "T" in STEM covers all technology, not just coding.

Can my child take their work home?+

Digital artwork and animations can be shared electronically. We can arrange for finished pieces to be emailed or made available for download after the session.

What if my child is not artistic?+

These sessions are designed to be accessible. Children who think they "can't draw" discover that digital tools make it easier. The stop-motion sessions are particularly good for children who prefer building and constructing over drawing.
